Before you buy or sell a used GTX 1070

Sellers sometimes mix this 150W GTX 1070 (1920 CUDA cores) with the faster 180W GTX 1070 Ti, which is a separate part. Early 2016 cards with Micron 8GB GDDR5 chips needed a VBIOS update to prevent artifacting.

Founders Edition and reference models use one 8-pin PCIe power cable, whereas large partner cards often require an extra 6-pin or 8-pin connector. If DisplayPort gives no BIOS screen on newer UEFI motherboards, apply Nvidia's Pascal DisplayPort firmware update.
