What the sales show

About 9 sales a week in the four weeks to 21 Oct.

Before you buy or sell a used i7-7700K

The four-core, eight-thread i7-7700K is the fastest chip for first-revision LGA1151 boards, boosting to 4.5GHz at 91W. It boots natively on 200-series chipsets like Z270, needs a BIOS update on 100-series boards, and never works in 300-series LGA1151 sockets.

Because Intel used paste rather than solder under the heatspreader, some owners delidded the 7700K to lower temperatures, which sellers should declare. The locked 65W i7-7700 is a separate part, and retail 7700K boxes exclude a cooler.
